The Citizens of the Republic is a nonsectarian and liberal political party in Itsch. The party was founded in 1972 as a merger of the regional party from Sxio; the Citizens and Liberals of Sxio and dissidents from the Liberal Party

Ideology

The Citizens are the only nonsectarian political party in the parliament of Itsch.
Party platform:

  • the party supports the womens right for abortion, gay marriage, euthanasia
  • free trade and free immigration
  • flat income tax
  • legalization of all drugs
  • Decentralization of education and health care
  • Nonsectarianism

The party scores above average in the regions of Sxio and Arbaro kaj Herbejo, the suburbs of Itsch City and the southern coast of the Laery region. It is the most popular party (60% of non-sectarian voters) among non-sectarian voters. Another important voter group of the party is the upper class.
