State and Territorial Militia Units
Overview
The Confederate States of Anagonia comprises seven sovereign states and sixteen sovereign territories. While these states and territories operate under the Confederate Government's umbrella, they do so on a voluntary basis. Consequently, their contributions to the central Confederate Military vary based on their level of involvement and resource-sharing with the central government. Each state and territory maintains its own militia units or independent military regiments that cooperate and train with the central military to form an effective national defense force. The central government is constitutionally obligated to ensure the prosperity and defense capabilities of these member-states and territories as long as they choose to remain within the Confederate States of Anagonia.
Historical Context
Historically, the central government provided states and territorial militias with retired or near-retirement military assets at a significant discount to fulfill their self-defense needs. However, over the last years, as the central military transitioned from outdated units, state and territorial militias faced difficulties in acquiring spare parts and resources for repairs, leading to a depletion of available supplies.
Modernization Efforts
In response to formal protests from the states and territories, the Confederate States Armed Forces launched an investigation and resolved to supply a universal asset format across all militia units under Confederate membership. This modernization effort ensures a clear and functional supply chain for resources such as ammunition, fuel, spare parts, and repairs, standardizing the equipment used by all member-state and territorial militias.
