Realms has multiple damage types across the games and campaigns in the franchise. These damage types may be elemntal or otherwise, affecting the interactions between one skill and another, in addition to the individual affinites (weakness, resistance, immunity, and absorption) of each character.
Non-elemental
Non-elemental damage represents physical damage, often being done with weapons or body parts like fangs and claws.
Blade
Blade damage represents damage from sharp objects, such as swords or spears. Skills and weapons that deal blade damage sometimes have a chance to cause the Bleed status effect, dealing non-elemental damage over time to the affected character.

Blunt
As its name suggests, Blunt damage encompasses all damage done by means of blunt force, such as with a mace or bare fists. Blunt damage skills can cause the Stun status effect, immobilising the affected character for a brief period.

Gun
Gun damage represents damage done by ranged weapons and even includes weapons other than firearms like darts.

Elemental
Elemental damage plays on the target's affinities more than non-elemental damage does, and its source is often a character's superpowers, with relevant skills having a Qì cost.
Cosmic
Cosmic (Chinese: 天, pinyin: Tiān, lit. Heaven)
Dark
Dark (Chinese: 暗黒, pinyin: Ànhēi) is the elemental opposite to Light. As Light's opposite, Dark based defences are ignored by Light skills and vice versa. Some Dark skills cause the status effect of Fear, which may cause the affected character to be unable to act for a certain period of time, leave the party, or both. Some Dark skills can also cause instant death or halve the health of the target.
Earth
Earth skills require black Qì and are associated with soil and the minerals from it. Owing to black's self interest, many Earth skills are defensive in nature, but only affects its user.

Fire
Requiring Red Qì, Fire skills are more often than not, offensive skills with impressive power relative to their cost. Fire skills can cause the Burn status effect, dealing further Fire damage over time. Fire does less damage to characters in shallow water and rolling in shallow water or diving in deep water instantly removes Burn.
