Daspor, officially the Federal Republic of Daspor is a country along the northern coast of Thalassia. It is bordered to the south and west by Lopinia. Along the border with Lopinia are the Tiranian Mountains and located on the north coast is the Thalassian Sea. Daspor has a population of 37 million as of 2019. Following the reorganization of the country in 2018, Daspor is a federal republic with thirty provinces.

The eastern plains were settled by French settlers beginning in the early 1820s. Following settlement by English colonizers starting in the 1840s, the area was incorporated into the British Crown in 1877. After several decades of abuse received by the British, the Dasporean War of Independence began in 1966, and with outside assistance, was won in 1970, granting independence to the colony. Daspor underwent significant upheaval during early 2000s which led to wide-scale protests against the government, culminating in the 2018 reorganization of Dapsor.

Daspor is a developed country with an average income of $65,360. The economy is primarily driven through a strong agriculture industry in the midlands, the mining industry along the Tiranian Mountains in the southwest, and strong pro-business legislation. Daspor ranks higly in the world in economic freedom and political freedom.

History

Pre-British Era (1821-1877)

French settlement (1821-1846)

The area which would become Daspor was originally settled by French settlers in 1821. Eugène Gaume led an expedition into the eastern reaches of present-day Daspor and would found the city of Gaume in 1822. French settlers continued to settle the eastern interior of Daspor, eventually founding the first settlements in the Tiranian range.
