De Kronikel (stylised de Kronikel, Vyvlander pronunciation: /də kɾoːnəkel/, English: the Chronicle) is a Vyvlander daily national newspaper operating from Vlud. The paper is one of the 'big three' broadsheet newspapers in Vyvland, along with Fe Bysbereer and Entwerd. It is the country's third-largest circulating newspaper, behind Fe Bysbereer and tabloid Tiy Baners. The current editor of de Kronikel is Lisbef Wagneer, who has edited the paper since 1996, taking over from Lurs Anterbiden, who was later elected President. The paper generally takes a moderate centre-right political stance, having explicitly supported the Conservative Party and its predecessors since the 1920s. Its main Vlud office is located on Kogelweg along with many other major news outlets.

The paper was founded in Vlud in 1829 following the investments of Anton vun Maaler, whose name lives on in de Kronikel's parent company, the vun Maaler Group. It has always been a national newspaper, unlike any of its competitors, with the Vludeer Post traditionally covering Vlud's local news stories. Its controversial support of the monarchy and police in the Stanmer Riots in 1968 alienated much of its readership and resulted in a change of management and vast overhaul of the paper into a format similar to that which it carries today.
