The Department of Foreign Affairs is the federal government department in the Caldan Union which deals with its relations with other nations, including managing formal diplomatic and consular relations, promoting trade, and managing international development aid. It is also responsible for managing coordination for foreign governments on all joint enterprises, even those largely handled by other departments, and with providing consular services to Caldans abroad and to foreign nationals seeking entry to the Caldan Union. The Department of Foreign Affairs was briefly known as Global Affairs Caldas and then the Department of Global Affairs.
