The Department of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure, and Communities is a federal government department in the Caldan Union with the primary responsibility of enabling coordination between federal, provincial, and local government. The department provides analysis and broad strategic planning as well as serving a liaison between government at different levels. The department also helps citizens get in contact with their representatives, receives and analyzes citizen feedback on government policy, and generally works to make government more accessible.
