The Director of National Intelligence is a senior, cabinet-level Guadajaran government official, who serves as the executive head of the Guadajaran Intelligence Community (GCI), to whom all GCI agencies report directly.
The Director is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Guadajaran President, subject to confirmation by the Guadajaran Senate. Upon invitation, the Director also serves as an advisor to the President and the National Security Council on all intelligence matters. They prepare, under support by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the President's Daily State of Security, a top-secret document containing intelligence from all GCI agencies, presented every morning to the President.
