The dissolution of the Empire of Exponent was the process of disintegration of the Empire of Exponent, culminating  in the resignation of the Imperial family and the end of the country as a sovereing state on November 18, 1996. The dissolution followed a long period of decay and collapse beginning in the 1600s.

After the loss of eastern Hesperidesia during the Hesperidesian Revolutions and the Treaty of Paradisa in 1988, faith in the Imperial government was completely shaken. The decision to engage in discussion over the independence of Polarus in April, 1996, subsequently triggered a government crisis that led to the complete collapse of the Empire in several successor states.
