The Douar Sidali massacre took place in the suburbs of Dar Al Hamma between August 24 and August 25 1998. 984 citizens were killed by the AIM, which sacked most houses in the Ibn Harith district, kidnapped women and children and threw babies from buildings. The AIM revendicated the attack only on September 4, and claimed it wouldn't be the last one. It turned out that the Douar Sidali massacre was the last one, after an appeasement between the terrorist organization and the Salamati government later during September 1998.
