The Drouis Film Festival is the largest and most famous film festival in Fratanica, hosting films from throughout the world across various movie genres. The film festival takes place every year from May 13 to May 25. The festival is ran by the Drouis Film Guild, a non-profit association which focuses on the promotion and preservation of Fratanican film. The film festival is invite-only at the behest of the Drouis Film Guild.
There are two types of awards presented at the Drouis Film Festival, named the Golden Critics Award and the Drouis Film Guild Awards. The Golden Critics Award is given to the best film of each genre, awarded by a panel of Fratanican film critics from various publications. The Drouis Film Guild Awards is more categorical, focusing on the individuals working on and acting within films. These awards are determined by the Drouis Film Guild itself.
The current Executive Director is Fabron Degas, who took over operations on 14 June 2016.
