East Coast (Te Rova Lainer: Saséphénoumōane, abbreviated to EC), officially East Coast Region, is a region of South Neviersia. It borders Groterdarwin and The Durbanites to the south, Midland Region to the northwest, Neviersia to the northeast and Allevarrian Neviersia to the southeast. It has two major coastlines along the Sea of Macarthur, with beaches in Dungarth, Korry and Hurnstall. As of 2024, the population was 2,388,000. The region is split between the southern counties (Hurnstall, Dunhoway and Korry), aligned more with Darwinschtad, and the northern counties (Tereko, Lanyalup, Oistorp and Dungarth), which gravitate towards the Midland counties and, to a lesser extent, the Neviersian city of Kesolia.
The name "East Coast" is often used to refer to the current 7-county region, though "East Coast Region" is preferable in official contexts. Separatists in Allevarrian Neviersia, Republic of Allevarres, often expand the definition of "East Coast" to include the four counties of Finnetoora, Konnedry, Maccloy and Tyvère. A small community of Separatists in Kesolia, Neviersia, further expand the definition to include the historic County of Kesolia. The term "Eastland" emerged after the Finnetoora Conflict in the 1970s, though this term is rarely used. A similar term used to refer to the broader area, though seldom used, is the Sandstone Coast, referring to the abundance of sandstone across the region.
