The Educan War of Independence, or the Educan Civil War, was a conflict between the Contitutionalist faction of Educan politics against the Achysian Loyalists. The Constitutionalists were mostly a mercantile elite, lead at first by Michael Debrosner, and then by Joseph ven Marien. The Loyalists, on the other hand, were made of the oligarchic patrician noble families and other Imperial interests in the city. For the initial years of the war, the Loyalist faction was lead by front runners of the Council of Ten, and comprised of most of the regular army of Educandi. It was only during Kaeron's reign that tercicos from the imperial mainland arrived in Educadi and took over military command.
