Election Day is an upcoming Slavic comedy film directed and co-written by Damir Yakushin. The film starts Ivan Baryshnikov, Evelina Raskalova, and Lubomir Kanalin and is set for release this December.
Premise
When Vladmir Osinov (Ivan Barshnikov), the freeloading playboy son of oil baron Nikifor Osinov is forced to get a job by his father he decides to run for president, seeing the campaign as just a chance to extend his time living off his fathers wealth, but when his opponent Ludomir Konyakov (Lubomir Kanalin) insults him on live TV he sets out to win the election out of spite, all while his campaign manager Vladislava (Evelina Raskalova) hopelessly trying to get Vladimir to realize what's at stake.
