Sordland's Jupiter Exploration Program Sordland launched the Jupiter and Moon Exploration Program in the late 20th century to study the giant planets and the potential for life in the outer Solar System. The program was divided into three main parts: Yolun Chava (exploring the moon Io), Yolun Denchun (exploring the moons Cristo and Europa), and Yavak Endai (direct exploration of Jupiter). --- 1. Yavak Endai Program (1976–1988) Objective: Study the structure and atmosphere of Jupiter. Timeline Yavak Endai 1 (1976): The first unmanned spacecraft to reach Jupiter. Recorded the Great Red Spot. Yavak Endai 3 (1980): Study the composition of the atmosphere. Especially hydrogen and helium Yavak Endai 6 (1988): Sordland's first orbiter to orbit Jupiter continuously --- 2. Yolun Chava Project (1976–1990) Goal: Study the moon Io, which has active volcanoes Timeline Yolun Chava 1 (1976): Remotely survey Io and photograph Loki Patera volcano Yolun Chava 4 (1983): Found volcanic activity caused by Jupiter's gravitational pull Yolun Chava 7 (1990): First spacecraft to land on Io and collect surface samples --- 3. Yolun Denchun Project (1987–1997) Goal: Study the moons Europa and Cristo (Sordland's fictitious moon, which is comparable to the fictitious moon in the solar system, Sordland) Timeline Yolun Denchun 1 (1987): A probe orbiting Europa, recording images of ice covering its surface Yolun Denchun 4 (1992): Evidence of an ocean beneath the ice surface found Yolun Denchun 9 (1997): Launched the "Denchun Seeker" rover to drill through the ice and study the underwater environment --- Project Accomplishments 1. Science: Revealed important information about Jupiter and its moons, such as Io's volcanic activity and Europa's subsurface water Laid the foundation for exploration of a potentially habitable moon 2. Technology: Developed a high-irradiation remote rover for Jupiter Successfully landed and explored the moon's extreme environment 3. Geopolitics: Confirmed Sordland's status as a leading space exploration nation Sordland's Jupiter exploration program demonstrated the country's ambition and technological potential And it is also a major impetus for future exploration of the solar system further afield.
