The Fallskjermjegerregiment (lit. "Paratrooper Regiment") is the Royal Nordenic Army's rapid reaction airborne unit and the only regiment-level unit capable of performing air mobility, air assault, and airborne tasks. All members of the regiment wear maroon berets, and those qualified as parachutists may wear parachutist badges. Established as Hærens Fallskjermjegerskole in 1962 to train Army reconnaissance forces in parachute insertion, the unit is currently predominantly based at Langa Castle in Hålogaland.
