The Acronian Far-West Territories (French: Territoires acroniens de l'Extrême-Ouest, Japanese: 月国の極西の領地), commonly referred to as the Far-West Territories or simply Rikagi is a region of the Free Union of Acronius, and its sole overseas collectivity. The archipelago ascended to the status of region in 1999, and has since been directly governed by the Free Union's central government in Lionsgate via its own regional Governor, with its capacity as an overseas collectivity reduced to a chiefly ceremonial role. Located in the Tenchi Ocean, the group of ten islands, each representing one of the region's ten departments, comprises 22,295 square kilometers, and therefore is the smallest region of Acronius by territorial size. The Far-West Territories' population of 5.98 million is mainly concentrated throughout major urban areas, such as Takigakure, Hoshigakure, Dōgakure, and Sakingakure, although a substantial rural population exists.
