Florenia (Standard Florenian: Vlórenga "vlɔʁɛŋa"), officially the United Kingdoms of Florenia (Standard Florenian: - a'Vlórenga "- a vlɔʁɛŋa") is a decentralised federalised nation that maintains democratic institutions on varying levels. From a mostly semi-direct democratic system in each constituent kingdom, to a parliamentary democractic system on a national level. Florenia covers most of the Florenian continent.

Etymology

Florenia is named after the old empire of Florenia and sees itself as a modern continuation of the old empire that once unified most of the continent of Florenia. The name "Vlórenga" itself is an ancient name that predates the old Florenian empire. It is also believed by historians that "Vlórenga" has only been used to refer to the South Western side of the continent in modern day --- & --- rather than all of it historically.
