Fortune Five
The "Fortune Five" (Spanish: ‘’Los Cinco de la Fortuna’’) of Prybourne typically refers to the five corporations in Prybourne who have held historical prominence within the industries of Prybourne and also hold permanent seats within the National Conglomerate of Prybourne. The Fortune Five companies came into national prominence in 1890 as some of the largest of the time in terms of total revenue for their respective fiscal years. After the capture of the capital and sequent takeover of power by the Bourne Party in the now de-funct Canter Republic during the Canter Uprising after then Speaker of the Assembly, Julian Varela, dissolved the National Government handing over administrative authority to the local corporations who had backed the rebels known as Purgatory Genesis to establish the Corporocratic system of the new Prybourne still in effect today which consisted of Canterian Steel (renamed to Prybourne Steel), Red Town Ship Lines, Jones & Sons Ltd., ALT Corporation, and Marssys. Additionally, due to the membership of the Fortune Five to the Chief Executives Board, the Grand Nagus is directly selected by and from representatives of the Fortune Five companies.
