The Fratanican Football Association (FFA) is the official governing body for the sport of association football in Fratanica. The association also encompasses the overseas territories of Whitney Island and Augustine Island, as well as the autonomous region of Aspera. Formed in 1948, the FFA is responsible for oversight across all levels of football, amateur and professional. The FFA is headquartered on 935 Gagnon Avenue, in Dansburg.

History

Roles

The Fratanican Football Association is primarily responsible for the oversight of organized football throughout Fratanica and its overseas territories. Other roles that it has is the following:

  • Promoting Fratanican association football, both domestically and overseas
  • Creating links between amateur and professional teams
  • Organizing links between association members, football clubs, and managerial staff for both amateur and professional leagues
  • Maintaining and overseeing the Fratanican amateur and pro leagues, across all of their divisions

The FFA hosts a variety of leagues for different levels of play. There are two amateur leagues: the Fratanican Amateur League and the Fratanican Amateur League 2. The former is considered to be more competitive, whereas the second league involves more hobbyist gameplay. There is one professional league: the Fratanican Professional League, with the highest level of play being called the "Fratanican Championship Division".
