Furie, often said to go by 'Dämokatze' [Damo-cat-ze], is a malevolent animal type Bösepenst that is often believed to share many humanoid features. The Furie originates in the Homeland of TECT where it prowls at night for its next prey. These Unmen are characterized as five to six foot tall, standing, cats that are usually surrounded by fire; some stories tell of Furies dragging flaming carts or to be riding in them. Furies feast upon human corpses primarily, the deader the better, but never really differentiated prey from alive or dead. Its other duty is to drag the corpse, first, down to the Underworld in order to punish the the person's soul for its misdeeds in life. People who lived bad lives or who were very sinful often found their corpses becoming the prey of a Furie, which would often interfere with a funeral procession and eat its victim there on the spot, or drag them to the Underworld. Furie would also hunt at night for live victims when hungry; often they'd snatch people off the streets or from their homes, or it would go for already buried corpses to devour. On ancient battlefields, the Furie would devour the bodies of killed soldiers like a scavenger. The primary targets of Furie were bad people and people who live malevolent lives; dead or alive, these Unmen would devour their victims limb by limb. Furie were known for often kidnapping living people who earned their gluttonous wrath, and would often eat their kidnapped prey once it traveled back to the Underworld.

Furie are often characterized for being fierce man-eaters of the Bösepenst world. They devour their prey only out of lustful gluttony; contrary to the fact their preferred prey are sinners. Rich families and those of power were often the targets of these Bösepenst; many of whom were either living sinful lives or were objectionably morally corrupt. It is usually impossible to stop a Furie attack unless the victim is exchanged or the Unmen is killed, which was unlikely to happen. Stories depicting these creatures would often tell of them kidnapping younger prey and retreating to the safety of the underworld, either by using its fast speed or by using a flaming cart; flames would often spew from its tail and other long portions of fur to protect it from enemies. If you are caught by this Unmen, you cannot escape unless you were to rip off a limb and feed it to the creature; it would otherwise be to fast and strong to let go, being distracted by the snack allowed time to escape if at all possible.

Ancient Commoners especially feared this Unmen because of its brutal habits and targeting of successful individuals. Although Furie target only morally corrupt people, many feared to either become wealthy or successful, or would hide the fact -- though it is believed the Furie can smell or see moral corruptness, so this these tactics would not stop it often. In fact, many stories displayed prey being often poor or at median level of wealth; the Furie went after these people more than likely because it saw a high concentration of corruption and evil in the victims. Ancients often blamed the Furie for brutal murders throughout the Homeland, since the province had been full of wealthy families; in many ways, they explained these deaths and other brutal murders by thinking the victims had brought it upon themselves for being corrupted or morally evil. There are many documented kidnappings and brutal murders that have been blamed on the Furie; descriptions would sometimes describe the creature in accurate detail. Other species of Furie are said to also exist throughout Royals, with many Bösepenst identified as possible relatives.
