Gaamamaa, officially Gaamamaa County, is a county in the Obets United Republic characterized by its alpine mountain landscape and various crystal blue lakes spread throughout the county. Gaamamaa borders Alatnamaa to the south and Pohjanmaa tot he east. Gaamamaa is the northernmost county in the Obets United Republic, and its border with Eastenia and Alterrame is defined by Lake Hyvastis. Hameena, the capital and largest city, lies on this lake, along with every other incorporated city and town. Ikávi National Park protects the towering mountains in central Gaamamaa which also host various ski resorts, which the Noatak National Preserve also preserves many of Gaamama's more isolated mountains and wilderness along the border with Alterrame.
