Early life

Born into an upper-middle class Catholic military family on August the 14th 1982 in the City of Industry, Sharifistan, the son of Captain Yusuf Çiftçi (in the Royal City of Industry Rifles) and Meryem Çiftçi. George Çiftçi was educated went to Süleymān Ḳānūnī Grammar School until 2000 when he went to study Classics at the University of Bologna.


University education

He was extremely popular at the University of Bologna and was also very studious earning a 1st class Degree in 2004. He then went to the Royal Sharifistani Army University where he earnt a Master of Military Science degree.


Military active service

Commissioned as a Fatah Sharif (literally "young noble", Lieutenant) in 2005, George Çiftçi fought in the War in Afghanistan (where he received the Distinguished Gallantry Medal), the Syrian Civil War, the 1st Sharifistani Civil War and Prusso-Polish Invasion of Sharifistan. He died in 2020, at the rank of Binbaşı (Major), whilst evacuating civilians from the City of Industry.

Veneration

Due to his death in the protection of civilians George Çiftçi is venerated as a folk saint by some Sharifistani Catholics, held to be the patron of Sharifistani soldiers and military officers, the Royal City of Industry Rifles, the City of Industry, police officers, social climbers, Sharifistani Christians and conservative Catholics.
