The Governance Council (RdG)(Fēþisc: Reccenddōm Gemōt) is a clerical and secondary executive body of the Government of the Federated Fire Territories. The Council comprises the Head of governance and other heads of the executive departments, the second most senior of government statesmen.
Role
Serving at the Crown's pleasure, the Fyrish Head of Governance chairs the Governance Council. Known as Chair of Governance, Master of Ministers (Fēþisc: Magister of Þegnas), this position is given to an elected Shire member selected by the Right Fire Lord (Fēþisc: Riht-Fȳrdomne). The Master of Ministers is beholden to and implements the policy of the Right Fire Lord. It is the Master of Ministers' role to appoint elected Shire statesmen to the Governance Council to carry out the semi-permanent executive duties of governance. In this capacity, the Governance Council is the second-most ultimate decision-making body of the executive after the Council of Five (GoF).
Excluding the chair, the Council seats five semi-permanent Councillors who operate in a subordinate ministerial capacity. The five Councillors, of Education, Transport & Infrastructure, Public Health, Energy, and Work & Pensions, are beholden to the Master of Ministers. All five members hold the title of Under Minister (Fēþisc: Underþegen). In addition to these five Councillors, the Council of Five can form additional tenures within the Governance Council to fulfil policy agenda. Formally all Governance Council positions are impermanent; however, the aforementioned seats retain unofficial permanent status. Clerical duties are attended to by ad hoc ministers, at the direction of the Master of Ministers.

- One acting rightly as Chair of the Flame, Right Fire Lord (Fēþisc: Rihtfremmend swā Stōl of se Līg, Riht-Fȳrdomne) - Head of government.
- Right Honorable Chair of Governance, Entrusted Master of Ministers (Fēþisc: Rihtful Stōl of Reccenddōm, Beþoht Magister of Þegnas) - Head of governance.
- Right Honorable Under Minister and Education Councillor (Fēþisc: Rihtful Underþegen ac Lar Rǣdgifa).
- Right Honorable Under Minister and Transport and Infrastructure Councillor (Fēþisc: Rihtful Underþegen ac Oferferian ac Weglic Rǣdgifa).
- Right Honorable Under Minister and Public Health Councillor (Fēþisc: Rihtful Underþegen ac Folchælu Rǣdgifa).
- Right Honorable Under Minister and Energy Councillor (Fēþisc: Rihtful Underþegen ac Cāfnes Rǣdgifa).
- Right Honorable Under Minister and Work and Pensions Councillor (Fēþisc: Rihtful Underþegen ac Weorc ac Heldegafol Rǣdgifa).
Composition
The Right Fire Lord selects a Master of Ministers from a pool of People's Council (ThG) elected statesmen, subject to Head of state approval. Upon beginning their tenure, the Master of Ministers selects Under Ministers from a pool of People's Council elected statesmen. This selection can take place independently, or at the direction of, the Right Fire Lord. The Head of state can dismiss the Master of Ministers and Under Ministers without notice or reason.
The Master of Ministers has always led the Council, historically as an individual beyond reproach shepherding the Crown Council, but today as the Head of governance. Formally, the Governance Council is a committee of Crown Trusted Advisors, which requires members to hold the title of "the Right Honourable". Today all Council members are given this title shortly after appointment.
