The Greens are a centre-left green political party in Arkiasis. The party has enjoyed immense growth in the 00's as awareness regarding global warming and environmental issues spread in Arkiasis. As of 2014 the party is the 4th largest in the House of Representatives.
Current Platform
The Greens express commitment towards reducing CO2 emissions, greenhouse gasses, unnecessary waste, and pollution, and also taking an active stance in reducing the effects of global warming and climate change. The Greens want to increase subsidies into the research and development of green energy and more environmentally friendly technology.
Economically the Greens seek to reconcile the left and the right through subsides and tax breaks to industries and companies who take an active effort in making environmentally friendly choices while evoking harsh penalties and restrictions on polluting industries.
Socially, the Greens are liberal and support liberty and equality but want to place limits on how much energy a household uses and how much waste a household throws out, as well as strict littering laws, laws restricting smoking and car emission regulations.
