The Grossritterpanzerkampfwagen V, also known as the Mus, is a heavy assault tank in used by the Imperial & Federal Common Army. The Mus is the heaviest individual fighting vehicle in use by the Common Army, and is usually maintained in independent battalions--usually with the remainder of the regiment dedicated for the maintenance and support of the Mus battalion. The Mus is exceptionally heavy, slow, and difficult to manuver. The amount of pressure generated by its auto-grav is enough to cause severe damage to non-reinforced roadways and some bridges, and its high energy demands make its phlogiston reactor highly inefficient. However, it is one of the most heavily armed and armoured vehicles available to the Common Army, and is so primarily used as a breakthrough or mobile fortress vehicle. It is intended to be deployed against the most heavily defended of positions or at the centrpiece of an enemy assault, where its massive firepower can be used most effectively.

The Mus chassis is sometimes used as the basis for other superheavy vehicles, although the impracticality of its chassis means that such uses are relatively rare. However, the Mus is sometimes used as part of planetary defence networks, sinces its high energy supply means it can make certain interface artillery weapons 'mobile'. The Mus is a rare vehicle, due to expense both of procuring one, and its upkeep.
