The Hanahan languages comprise a large array of languages and dialects spoken by mostly the Hanahan on Fanato with 790,052,866 speakers of the Hanahan languages since 3020 AHT.
Through genetic and linguistic research, all Hanahan languages are believed to be descended from a single prehistoric language: Proto-Hanahan which split into Proto-Hanahanamokohānian, Proto-Hanahanahancaṅohānian, and Proto-Hanahan-nan-fanaloian. The descendants of Proto-Hanahanamokohānian evolved into the Hanahanamokohānian language family with several branches distributed across Fanato with approximately 790,000,000 speakers; the only living descendant of Proto-Hanahanacaṅohānian is Hanahanacaṅohānian spoken by 35,000 speakers on the island of Wudutomalatōn-nan-hanahanacaṅohān and a similar case to Hanahan-nan-fanaloian with only 15,000 speakers in the valley of Pelewuduton-nan-hanahan-nan-fanalo.
Language families
Hanahanamokohānian languages
The Hanahanamokohānian languages are most widespread language family across Fanato with 112 living languages, grouped into 11 sub-families. They share similar words for common concepts, several noun classes, use of subject-first word order, and similar phonologies.
Language isolates
There are only two language isolates on Fanato: Hanahanacaṅohānian, found on the island of Wudutomalatōn-nan-hanahanacaṅohān, and Hanahan-nan-fanaloian, found in the valley of Pelewuduton-nan-hanahan-nan-fanalo. Both share pre-nasalisation, use of verb-first word order (Hanahanacaṅohānian uses VOS whilst Hanahan-nan-fanaloian uses VSO), and but there are several differences between each other such as Hanahanacaṅohānian having a significantly smaller vowel storage of only 4 vowel phonemes compared to Hanahan-nan-fanaloian's _ vowel phonemes and use of length in consonants as well as vowels in Hanahan-nan-fanaloian.
Standard Hanahan Language
The Standard Hanahan Language (known as ꖕꕯꕺ-ꗛ-ꕔꗱꕔꘒ; Kufufo-nan-hanahan; 'Language of the Hanahan') known as Standard Hanahan has emerged. The written form uses the Standard Hanhan Script (ꖕꕯꖴ-ꗛ-ꕔꗱꕔꘒ; Kufusa-nan-hanahan; 'Script of the Hanahan') which was introduced as a unifying script for all Hanahanese languages and dialects. Both were developed by in 2520s AHT the Pawafohanofōhān Hanato-nan-puputonṡanotōnhān who based by his native language, _, and neighbouring languages (most additions from other Hanahan languages would be made after Paha-puṡa's death). Today, SHL and SHS are very prominent on Fanato, though not generally accepted by some Hanahan.
Writing systems
Various writing systems exist on Fanato, most developing separately. Some scripts are used for multiple languages with minor additions and subtractions whilst other scripts are only used for one language. The most prominent script being the Standard Hanahan Script.
Hanahanacaṅohānian Script
Used exclusively for the Hanahanacaṅohānian language, it is recognised as the only script to be written right-to-left and as an abjad on Fanato, furthering its unique status amongst other Hanahan languages. Believed to have developed in the mid-1500s AHT, there are 18 symbols each representing a base consonant phoneme with vowels inferred. Two further symbols are used to indicate prenasalisation or aspiration.

Hanahan-nan-fanaloian Script
Used exclusively for the Hanahan-nan-fanaloian language, the Hanahan-nan-fanaloian script is theorised to have adapted from nearby extinct scripts and even Hanahanacaṅohānian through trade in around the early 1600s AHT. An alphabet that consists of 26 letters and 3 indicators.
