The Hanoverian Parliament (German: Hannoveraner Landtag) is the devolved, unicameral legislature of Hanover, one of the five constituent countries of the United Kingdom. Located in the country's capital of Hanover, it is otherwise mostly referred to by the metonym, Leineschloss, the name belonging to the parliament building. The Parliament is a fully democratically elected body, comprised of 146 individual members formally known as Members of the Hanoverian Parliament, or MHPs. Since its inception, the parliament's members have been traditionally chosen by the first-past-the-post system.
