Harpan; (Pohnpenesian: Haraù; Hoterallian: はらい, Harai) is the capital and largest city of Pohnpenesia. It is situated on the northern coast of Ponape, the largest island in the archipelago by land and population. Harpan is the cultural, economic and political centre of Pohnpenesia. As of the 2020 Census, Harpan is home to over 1,152,000 residents.
