Haruhata is a country in East Asia, bordered by the Sea of Japan to the east, North Korea to the south and China to the west. It covers 322,049 square kilometres (124,343 square miles) with a population of 2.6 million people. Located between the Antuurnji mountains of the south and the Duurang mountains of the north, Haruhata sits upon the Chihalaar river. It is covered mostly by grassy steppe, situated at the tail end of the Eurasian Steppe. Alhaanfuutar, the capital and largest city, is home to over half of country's population.

The area of Haruhata has been inhabited by various Haruhati nomadic groups since before 1600 BC, such as the Haoyuan.
