Historical rankings of prime ministers of Esthursia

Academics often have attempted to rank first ministers and forethanes of Esthursia. The usual cutoff point since the beginning of the 21st century has been the premiership of Neville Salisbury, beginning in 1911 (the first First Minister to serve fully in King Edward's term), or from 1900.

George Asmont is almost always ranked as the most effective Forethane in Esthursian history, with Neville Salisbury, Edith Newell, Martha Grantham and increasingly incumbent Harold Osborne all generally ranking favourably; James Thorne, Alfred Thwaite, Rickard Warner and increasingly Tharbjorn Einarsson have typically been ranked poorly.

Academic opinion

The Universities of Execester and Brantley have typically held infrequent surveys by a number of academics, typically around 200 to 400, who specialised in history, politics and/or a related field, on their evaluation of each leader's ability to succeed, lead and conduct their duties. John Largan was not included in the 2012 survey per se, though was ranked moderately highly (unlike successive post-2014 rankings, during which Largan's later career was taken into account and broadly acted negatively on his perception) in a separate survey.
