The history of Gregoria dates back tens of thousands of years to some of the earliest human settlement in the mountainous region. The appearance of an agriculture-based civilisation existed in the region as far back as 5500 BCE, which indicates the earliest arrival of the earliest Proto-Gregorian people groups. A long period of city-states was followed by local states, the most important of which were the Medea Empire and the Tsilori Evardom. By around the late 7th century BCE many of these states became united under a centralised state lead by the Evar of Tsilori in the Gregorian Plateau.
