House Padova is a minor house of the Kingdom of Cacerta that are the traditional rulers of the city of Padova and govern Kalaris Island, a subdivision of the Sarissita Administrative Region. Once a powerful royal house in their own right, the Padova Family was an influential force behand the Sabrian Empire and later founded the successor power of the Padovan Empire in 858. They were a dominant power during the Centuries War Period and resisted unification with other states of Cacerta until they were militarily defeated during the First Cacertian War of Unification. Despite this, though, they were incorporated as equals into the new Kingdom of Cacerta and played a key role in both the second and third wars of unification. Members of House Padova in the modern era are often defined by their ancient faith which is often believed to have heavily influenced the practices of Sofianism and are considered stewards of spiritualism in Cacerta today.
