Hyast is second largest city of the Allied States of Eserrei and capital of the Eser state of Burzinai. It is located on the southern Burzinai coast of the Casarta Sea where the Antara River empties. The population of the city is 753,330 and is the largest city of the state. Hyast is also the oldest major city of the Eser population and contains many historical Eser cultural sites. The city has an oceanic climate with warm but not hot summers and cool to cold wet winters. Snow is very rare in Hyast as although the city sits at a higher northern latitude the Casarta Sea influence keeps the city relatively warm.
History
Hyast has long been among the busiest seaports on the Casarta Sea with much of Burzinai and now Eserrei's imports/exports running through the city. This brought much wealth and trade to Hyast throughout the years as well as a more cosmopolitan makeup.

The city of Hyast has been the entertainment capital of Eserrei since the movie industry came to the country in the 1930s and 40s. The overwhelming majority of television and movie studios are in Hyast.
