The Imperial Cup is an annual football competition organised by the Confederated Imperial Football Associations, the overarching administrative body for football associations from Vionna-Frankenlisch, the Frankenlischian Empire and their Commonwealth allies. Thirty-two teams compete in a knockout format tournament, playing a total of 36 games including a bronze match to determine third-place. The competition was founded in 2004 and 16 cups have been won.
At present, the Imperial Cup is contested by teams from Vionna, Frankenlisch, Imperial Espicuta, Imperial Prodava, Imperial Gallandia, Imperial Balion, and Mount Zeon. 2021 is Mount Zeon's first appearance in the competition. Teams compete in independent play-offs to decide which will take part in the Imperial Cup competition.
Of the sixteen competitions played, thirteen have been won by Vionna-Frankenlischian teams, two by Espicutan teams, one by a Gallandic team, and one by a Prodavan team. The current champions are Espicutan club, Jedoria Athletic, having beaten Gallandia Militaire 2-1 in the 2020 final. Vionnan club Grythshead Imperial is the most succesful team, having won five titles. Winning the Imperial Cup guaruntees participation in the next year's competition. Winners of the Imperial Cup also qualify for the next year's Imperial Footballing Sash, a super cup contested with the winner of the Vionna-Frankenlischian Crown League.
