Imperial Mesazon

Jump to navigation Jump to search

The Imperial Mesazon of Mesogeia is the head of the government of the Empire of Mesogeia. The Imperial Mesazon is the link between the executive and legislative branches of government, answering to the Imperial Parliament, and serving at the pleasure of the Emperor. The Imperial mesazon presides over the Cabinet, a committee consisting of all the most senior government ministers typically known as Logothete.

There is no written establishment of the office, the office instead exists as a result off a long standing tradition whereby the monarch appoints the leader of the party commanding the confidence of the Chamber of Poleis and Chora Assembly, the two lower houses of parliament to the position of Imperial mesazon.

The Imperial Mesazon is simultaneously Grand Logothete and Count of the Imperial Treasury, positions held in commission by the head of government by tradition
