India Tanisha Wayne (born January 28, 2006) is a Californian politician who is the current Speaker of the General Assembly, representing Angeles's 2nd district. A member of the New Socialist Party, she previously served as the Leader of the General Assembly Majority Conference. She was elected to the GA in 2038 and became Majority Leader in 2043 following Sam Bartoly's election to the Senate. After Tramell Stewart announced his retirement from the position to become Theodore Hendricks's Secretary of State, Wayne was chosen as speaker.
