Aïana

Aïana family

The Ayana people are a small language isolate-speaking mountain tribe of less 240 people that live as a hunter-gatherers in the Burañnoan Forest. They are one of the groups that is permitted under Safiloan law to hunt and eat fish.

Doïan

The Doyanean peoples are Austronesians that speak a variety of languages, which are all to some degree related to or potentially derived from Sakalava Malagasy. Their Fomba Fitjafana animistic religion & mythology shares many similarities to Fomba Gasy, and includes traditions involving ancestor worship and shamanism.

Djinimba, Djuboko, Guoáikeri, Heïabono, Kákañgoro, Keliak, Koïoroúen, Kúailanoro, Márákoúa, Muki-Morá, Nargun, Ñaraña, Pukeonaki, Saitanoño, Suchi-Varoti, Tjinipili, Tutugal, Valakilea and the Tuku peoples.
