Insaeldor (Insaeldic: Insældår; (ˈɪnsæːlɖor)), officially the Kingdom of Insaeldor, is a parliamentary constitutional monarchy in Northern Aulias. Insaeldor lies between the Sehlaten Sea to the south and the Chealwend Sea to the North, it is separated from mainland Aulias by the Stillen Straite to the west, and the Malna Straite to the east. I shares maritime borders with xxx and xxx.
Insaeldor is one of the largest countries in Northern Aulias with a population of 42.7 million, with roughly 20 million living in the Ren-vik Corridor. AAround 80% of Insaeldics live in urban areas, which makes up 2% of total land area. Large Forest and Lakes cover most of the nations landmass, most notably the Håskaua Forest. The Fjellene Range dominates much of the countries landscape.
Bestarnic people's populated much of the island which insaeldor sit upon today since prehistoric times. These groups would form into the Gevlarsoi (Gevlandi), Lithnois (Liothans), and Renariae (Ronirs). Who collectively would evolve to become the Sealiths (Særlýðir). Sealiths would invade and settle in much of northern Aulias between 750 and 157 CE, establishing monarchies and protostates throughout much of the region. An independent Insaeldic state would start to form in the 12th century, and by the 14th century would become a major military power in the region. It was a key part of the Aulian Reformation and would establish itself as the premier political force in Aulia between the 17th and 19th century with the establishment of the Suzerainty in 1663. Insaeldor would be one of the main belligerents during the Tetrabellum, and would fight in campaigns across Aulias, Sunora, Nautos, and Porculea. After the Tetrabellum Insaeldor would suffer a brief civil war which would lead to the countries modern constitution.
Insaeldor is a highly developed country, ranking highly in quality of life, health, education, protection of civil liberties, economic competitiveness, income equality, gender equality and prosperity. It is a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy with power vested in the unicameral Logting who elects a Prime Minister as head of government, the current monarch is Magnus Adolphus II, who acts in a limited role as head of state. Insaeldor is a unitary state which is divided into 22 Counties, and 347 Communes. Insaeldor maintains a nationalized social welfare system that provides universial health care and free education. Insaeldor is a founding member of several international organizations, including the International Commonwealth of Nations, Aulian Mutual Defense Coalition, International Council for the Endowment of Democracy, and the Aulian Common External Trade Union.
