Islamism in Al-Harreh Danistarab

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Islamism is currently the ruling ideology of Al-Harreh Danistarab. From 1501-1968 it was the ruling ideology of the Emirate of Danistarab and from the 9th century to the fourteenth century it was the ruling ideology of most of the kingdoms that became the Emirate Of Danistarab, though it was an opposition ideology from 1968-2020. Danistarab had a secular government under President Ahmed Danistarab.

History

Islam first came to Danistarab during the time when Uthman was in charge of the Rashidun Caliphate, from merchants and missionaries. By 700, some Danistarabi rulers had embraced Islam and by 800, over 80% of Danistarabi land was under Muslim rule as these kingdoms expanded aggressively against their neighbours who followed either African traditional religions or Christianity. Islam was the ruling ideology of Danistarab until 1968, with the election of President Ahmed Danistarabi who promised to make Danistarab a prosperous and militarily formidable nation. During his reign Islamist activism required a license and Islamic influences were removed from both the criminal and civil codes whilst Muslim personal law was also abolished. There was a distinction during this time between moral force Islamism and physical force Islamism. By 2020, Islamism was once again the ruling ideology.
