Jaan Kask is the current Premier of Kolodoria, in office since 2014. He served as Minister of Public Development from 2010 to 2013, and a Representative of the State Bureau of Finance from 2005-2009.
Kask was born in 19 June, 1962 in Strana Mechty. He was educated at Tukkayid State University and graduated with a degree in civil administration. He joined the Kolodorian Ground Forces in 1984 as a reserve officer and was activated for the Vyzhvan-Kolodorian War. He later served in the Cherniyan War before retiring from the armed forces in 2004 as a Major, shortly after the 2004 Kolodorian Constitutional Reforms. Following his departure from the military Kask took up roles in civil administration, later being appointed to Representative of the State Bureau of Finance in 2005. After 2009 he was promoted to Director Public Development, a post he held until 2013, during which he oversaw major overhauls to Kolodoria's railways and public infrastructure.
In 2014 Kask was elected to the position of Premier by the Council of Ministers, succeeding Valgudis Krievs. As Premier Kask is responsible for directing Kolodorian foreign policy and national directives, while also presiding over the Council of Ministers and representing the national government in the Central Committee of the Kolodorian Communist Party. Although Kask stated publicly his intentions focus on Kolodoria's internal developments, much of his administration has been consumed by foreign affairs. Beginning in 2015 Kask began working to improve relations with the Vinyan Defense Union, which later resulted in Kolodoria taking part in the 2019 Invasion of Vyzhva. In 2020 Kask approved a request by the government of Menghe to allow for the deployment of submarines from Kolodorian waters, a move which drew criticism from the Federated Fire Territories and the Entente Cordiale.
