Jean-Cristophe Mario Vargas-DeClado, or "JC Vargas" is an Inyurstan actor, producer and philanthropist known for a variety of works. He is considered by many to be Inyursta's "first" actor, or at least first to reach large-scale and even international fame.

Personal Life

Jean-Cristophe was born in the town (now city) of Villavenas during the early stages of the Inyurstan Civil War. He describes his early life as "darkness and loudness", reffering to his mother and her family hiding in a cellar while bombings and artillery fire took place in the hills around the city.

Vargas is married with two children, and continues to reside in the same village he grew up in.

Career

Jean-Cristophe began his career taking walk-on parts and minor roles in foreign films, mainly American ones, in addition to voicing most Inyurstan characters in pre-2000 Nihonese animated media. His first Inyurstan film was the low-budget silent classic "La Loiselle de Sant Dij'oa" where he played the hard-working father of the heroine.

Throughout his career, JC Vargas has held a major role in at least a dozen Inyurstan films or TV shows. His most memorable roles are that of the cautious, by-the-book superior officer in the "Rico Saváge" series, and that of the shady businessman and later mayor Ricardo Sabón in the political télé-drama "Fjorda". Due to being cast in roles such as Lollohian dictator Tyvar Slovak, Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, corrupt and greeding mining CEO Leonardo de la Poussir, and the wicked mayor Don Ortega, Jean-Cristophe Vargas is jokingly referred to as a quote "typecast villian" - despite his fatherly and generous nature outside of the big screen.
