Sir Joel-Lynn Harold Park-McCarthy (15th May 1977) is a Quebecois actor, director, fencer, film producer, and screenwriter. With a career spanning four decades, McCarthy was known for his wide expanse of genres from contemporary theatre to action films and documentaries. He has won four Archibald Awards, three Ivanhoe Prize, an Royal Actors Guild Award, and the prestigious Mouette d'Or. He achieved international fame for his cinematic roles, including Pierre-Luc Avon in Dusk and Night (2003), Leland Burke in Le Coeur Brule (2011), Ivanhoe in Vance Universe Series films (2022-2028), and Madu in Nokdu (2031). He is also remembered for his role as Sergei Nemirovsky in teleseries War and Love (2016).
