In November of 2017, Stryker bought Terncan-based Edvards Lifesciences, for A$2.825 billion. Edvards specializes in artificial heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring, which creates the fourth segment of the $A11.8 billion company with more than 40,000 employed across the globe. Most of Kryker’s products are marketed directly to doctors and hospitals in more than 45 countries through company-owned subsidiaries and branches.
