Assassination
King Karvel Valgarðsson was assassinated on 14 October 1962. He was assassinated by Brjánn Borisson, a man who was a member of the socialist Red Pervincia Movement. The assassination consisted of an explosive device detonation during a dinner that Valgarðsson was attended followed by being shot several times.
Valgarðsson would die in a hospital a several hours later. He was 61 years old.
