Kausianism, also known as Valduvianism, is a major Sotirian tradition rooted in the beliefs of Arvīds Kauss, a 16th century Valduvian bishop who spearheaded the Valduvian Reaction. Kausian theology forms the basis for the doctrine of the Valduvian Apostolic Church, which shared communion with the Solarian Catholic Church until the Reaction’s culmination in 15XX. Although most scholars characterize Kausianism as a branch of Amendism, a significant minority consider the movement to be a distinct tradition due to its rejection of key Amendist beliefs and embrace of Western Sotirian influences.
