It is the largest Radictistani producer of iron, aluminum, and nickel ores and fabricates components from those metals including up to fifteen million tonnes of steel annually. Operations

Iron and steel

Kazdan Mining and Metals operates a number of iron ore mines in Norcustsur as well as coal mines to fuel steel production. KBM produces roughly fifteen million tonnes of raw steel annually at two steel mills in Hartfer and Redclay. The steelmaking division employs roughly 30,000 of the company's 172,500 employees.

Aluminum

KBM is Radictistan's largest producer of aluminum ores. The company owns a number of bauxite mines in Norcustsur and imports additional ore from foreign countries.

Nickel

The KBM-owned Schulenbarg mine is Radictistan's only domestic source of nickel ore. The mine produces 17,000 tonnes of nickel annually from pentlandite. KBM has nickel smelting operations in western Norcustsur.

Titanium

KBM operates a titanium smelting and fabrication plant in the Municipality of Mausing in Erdwoodsur. The plant exclusively uses imported titanium as the metal is not found anywhere in Radictistan. The titanium processing facility is KBM's newest, being constructed by Designwerks Heavy Industry of Schultaria Prime.

Railroads

KBM is one of a small number of Radictistani mining firms which maintain their own rail freight operations. KBM own 211 kilometers of track which connect its iron and coal mines in Norcustsur to the national rail network operated by Royal Radictistan Railways.
