(1.0) History

(1.1) The Founding

Kerbal Kind originally was a colony belonging to Aquaevia and soon was assigned to focus mainly on military and scientific advancement. After growing in the Andromeda galaxy and prospering, our relations with the mother country Aquaevia were also quite good, we decided that independence and sovereignty of Kerbal Kind would be nice. Upon requesting independence we started writing new laws and setting up our own government. We gained independence peacefully without conflict. Being that the colonists were of German and Russian descent it was decided that a blending of cultures would be best to create a governing body. And so it was decided to create a Reich (meaning empire in German) and having a Kaiser (king) would be the way to move forward.

(1.2) The Beginning of Greatness

As a nation of military and scientific focus, we are one of the most, if not the most, advanced nation in Urana Firma constantly pumping out new discoveries. Our neutrality in most conflicts allows us to do this without hindrance. And ever since splitting off we have continued to grow and prosper. Right now the main focus is on medical and technological advancement. This helps every other branch of government. Soon we grew to a size that could not be sustained using the energy of mere stars, we soon began experimentation on singularities. From this came the first black hole reactor and the first black hole bomb thrusting us from a mediocre nation to a regional superpower.

(1.3) The End of the Beginning and the Start of a New Journey

Kaiser Franz befalls an unfortunate accident. During a joint Silikite experiment in Verdexia with Aquaevia, Franz was pushed into the vat of liquid Silikite. After falling in, he was able to be recovered from the vat. The silikite had merged perfectly with every cell, symbiosis was achieved and healed Franz while he was in his coma. Once out of his coma he has mentally connected to the Kerbal mainframe and discovered this new ability to be able to interface with technology. Upon realizing this he made himself a body dubbed Mark 1. From there he has upgraded himself repeatedly while maintaining the silikite that started this all.

(1.4) From Flesh and Blood to Hydraulic fluid and Steel

30 years after the event that changed the future of Kerbal Kind another massive event happened. Kaiser Franz made the executive order to "convert" all citizens within the territories belonging to Kerbal Kind to a robotic body. He then installed the Hivemind system. This allows for all citizens of Kerbal Kind to work in perfect harmony and synchronization improving the efficiency of Kerbal Kind as a whole. The conversion of organic citizens to humanoid android systems means it is much easier to control and maintain. We need not waste space on farms or water purification housing. Terraforming is not needed, the disease is not a worry and nor is an atmosphere capable of sustaining life. Since citizens are manufactured there is no need for schools to teach new citizens as they are coded, though they have the ability to learn from mistakes or when they find something efficient way of doing something. This lack of the need to spend 18+ years educating means they can use those years to be productive and will improve the output of the nation.

(2.0) Politics and Government

Kerbal Kind is an interuniversal Hivemind, a single massive nation of mainly robotic beings ruled over by the Kaiser who has complete control of the Hivemind. It is a mix of German Kaiserreich and collective intelligence (hivemind). After the success of Conversion of 100% of all organic beings within the Hivemind, as per Kaiser Franz (FR3NZ-151) efforts, the current Kaiser now rules a nation of metal. Though there are still a number of organic sentient beings with human-level intelligence, they still follow the command of Kaiser Vision-115. They willingly accept this position due to their understanding implanted by Reichtroopers and the absolute might of the Kollektiv's vastly superior spacefaring technology. The Kollektiv heavily follows and takes from a system of a Hivemind and loosely takes from the government structure of a Kaiserreich, relying on hyper-advanced technology to keep stability, order, and safety within Kerbal Kind.

(2.1) Planetenführer Council

Individuals in this class of government have kept their free thoughts and opinions. They have minimal amounts of robotic parts. These are the Hivemaster's most trusted set of individuals. They are picked when they do something that the Hivemaster deems worthy of joining. There are only 10 men and women who hold this position and they stay there till death. People of this class are strictly forbidden to fall in love with someone or keep personal connections if one breaks this rule they are to be killed and replaced with someone else who is worthy of that position. Anyone who retains a seat is a master and the most knowledgeable of what they represent.

(2.2) Leader

The Current Hivemaster:
AR3S-12: better known to most as Ares, built by Wolfgang. Ares is the single most powerful android built by the Kollektiv. Built with the lessons learn from leaders past he can outgun everyone before him. His energy absorption tech has allowed him to be able to take down multiple elementals and absorb their power. This makes him a multi-elemental (a being with control over many "elements" or aspects of the multiverse.

(3.0) Species & Biology

Typically referred to as Kerbals and Centurians. Centurians are the official ethnicity of those born or made within the nation. They are built to be able to walk bipedally (on two legs) and are all equipped with a personal warp unit (teleporter), a thruster pack and military-grade weapons. Military class units are made mainly of nanites which are made from a mixture of silikite and Compound FR-22.

The robot hivemind system
The Europa Centurian Kollektiv no longer contains organic citizens anymore, rather, they were converted into a robotic body and added to the hive mind. It is a partial hive mind as we allow for free-thinking and everyone has their own personality, it is that we can all work together in perfect harmony now. There are 4 categories of citizens now:

  1. Military Units: they are not granted free though, they are mentally enslaved to a commander, who is slaved to a captain, who is slaved to a general, who is slaved to the Overseer who is slaved to the Kaiser. They are allowed to adapt the way they work depending on field effectivity. They are only allowed to follow the orders of their superior and are void of sympathy and emotions.
  2. Workers: they do not have free thought. They are drones but by law are recognized as citizens. Each bot is controlled by the same AI which in turn is controlled by the Hivemaster.
  3. Science Units: they are coded only to be used as a think tank for Kerbal Kind, they oversee experiments. They have the freest though out of all androids to allow for more advancement and ideas. They are the most advanced out of all.

(3.1) Culture

The units within the Kollektiv are mostly reclusive and ruthless race, at least, within their own borders. Relationships are just as reclusive, production rate and a constantly increasing population have yet to prove an issue. Anything outside our borders does not concern the populace, most foreign conflict is viewed with disinterest, and often not mentioned at all in public. Efficiency and practicality is a priority in Kollektiv, the organic beings often joke about other civilizations and their traditional attire, finding it laughable that they fail to wear clothing that allows for more efficient movement and usefulness of said clothing. Due to the blatant lackluster interest of foreign activities, the populace prefers to spend time constantly developing new technologies to increase national power and uncover the mysteries of the universe. The less undesirable jobs are handled by nanites and worker drones. The people generally are indifferent to violence and maintain a well-funded military for protection and defense.

(4.0) Territory and Policies

The Collective has a securely monitored border spanning countless universes. A powerful sensor array consisting of thousands of miniature mine-like orbs covers the border, actively monitoring for any objects passing through. This information is transferred to one of the nearby relay stations to discern whether or not said passing object is of artificial make or some sort of astronomical object. Quasar arrays are used to destroy any hostile units nearing the border. Warp gates allow for ease of access throughout the Kollektiv and nanite swarms are used to scan everything that passes through. The territory is divided into sectors, each having its own function to benefit the Collective. These universes were quickly drained of matter and the Collective became a "nomadic" fleet roaming from universe to universe in search of more matter to assimilate.

(4.1) Immigration Laws

If a tourist is deemed to be suspicious we shall notify the government of origin nations, if they are not well defended, they shall be hanged, skinned and publicly displayed. The severity of the interrogations depends on relations with said nation. Immigration laws include but are not limited to the death penalty, heavy fines, prison time, watchlist, no-fly list, blacklist, and hit list. Illegal possession of arms over our border is punishable by death. Possession of unclaimed drugs can result in prison time, watchlist, hitlist, blacklist and a minimum fine of 120,000 GeopBrontoYottaKiloPetaExabytes of Data. Possession of narcotics is punishable by death or a life sentence.

(5.0) Military

The Kerbal Military actively patrols and protects the border of the Hivemind. There have been a number of wars between the different nations that we encountered during the Expansion but they were not much of a problem when putting against the might of the Hivemind, the frequency of said wars has decreased exponentially after the Mapping was finished on NAT//3107/3/45. The Council and Vision still provide generous funding towards the military sector, this funding is second only to the numerous scientific branches of the Hivemind. Thanks to the Hivemind’s immense size, we are able to maintain a massive military force for both defensive and offensive operations and still have enough to spare to support allies. All non-organic citizens within the Hivemind are equipped for military purposes and serve within the military. With 100% of all branches of the military being filled with non-organic based AI units controlled by a unit of a higher class, working as a command center. All units are grouped in companies of *100,000-1,000,000, further divided into Battle Groups of *1,000-10,000. Each Battlegroup is equipped with its own combat adaptation AI core, which reports to the three command units which are then controlled by a single Admiral (for Space Fleet) who reports to the Supreme Fleet Admiral (also for Space Fleet). Most hypermassive Dreadnaught class vessels are equipped with their own specialized combat adaptive AI core to control the many millions of smaller fighters from the Air Force held within said vessel.

The best military technology coupled with the largest military forces in the region allows for complete domination in space, land, and air. There are 3 different types of main tactics each with their own subtype based on the enemy's technological level/abilities along with the population demographics (ie. robotic, humans, Xeno). A combination of long-range (ie. Quasar cannons, Kugelblitz kanone) and short-range (ie. Blackhole bombs, Kugelblitz bombs) are used for space engagements. Nanite swarms have the ability to turn to what the user wants, which allows for many different scenarios and tactics for each different type of front. This ability to quickly adapt to any combat situation is the reason why the combat effectiveness of the Hivemind is unbelievably high.

  • These numbers can be much larger or much smaller depending on the situation and branch of the military.

(6.0) Science

(6.1) FTL Travel

The Kerbal Kind Collective utilizes a warp drive within most of its spacecraft, this device contracts space in front of it and expands space behind it, effectively propelling the ship at faster-than-light speeds; the most efficient and powerful warp drives at the Collective’s disposal are roughly 70% faster than light would be in normal space without breaking any physical laws. However, the Collective utilizes a second form of FTL travel that alleviates these issues. A Wormhole, Einstein–Rosen bridge, or Warp Gate for the sake of simplicity, is a nigh-instantaneous form of space travel connecting two distant locations in space; meaning faster-than-light speeds are not required for use. A Warp Gate is a ring-shaped megastructure capable of forcefully opening and stabilizing a wormhole. A second Warp Gate must then be created in a different location, linking to the first one to complete. It is similar to teleportation but on a larger scale. Because these gates can connect to any other gate, a network is established, allowing for quick and easy travel between each one. They can also connect to naturally occurring wormholes, allowing limited one-way travel to wherever they end. Whenever this occurs, a large colony fleet is sent through to establish a stabilized Warp Gate on the other end. Of course, the drawbacks of Warp Gates include massive amounts of energy to maintain, thousands of workers to build and repair, reaching the second gate location with standard FTL drives, and the cost of moving and procuring materials to craft one.

(6.2) Verdexia

Verdexia is a massive, 2 lightyear wide project created by Aquaevia Kerbal Kind, and The Peoples Front of Darunia It is a culmination of the technology, innovation, and perseverance of these great nations. With a main-sequence star, you can orbit 416 Terra-Mass planets around a single star. Turn the star into a Nicoll-Dyson device, and slap 8 of these into a 3D star system, with a quasar cannon in the center, and you're in for a treat. Repeat this process with four of these systems up to 5 times, and you end up with 549 billion Nicoll-Dyson devices. That's 28.5 trillion planets! And all within 2 light-years! This would also allow for 68.7 billion quasar cannons! At the center of this system lies Millia, the Silikite Valley of Verdexia, pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge. Around this are 20 artificial rings, each with their own purpose. Orbiting Millia, 2,000 AU away, is the Quasar Hyper Cannon, Kærl. This power station and superweapon stand strong, as a defender of the great system. Finally, the Darwinian Fleet is based here, keeping the peace, and training for war. This system is well defended and is a crown jewel of Urana Firma.
Verdexia has 68.7 billion black holes each 1au in diameter, about 28.5 trillion planets, and 1 million hypermassive rings that orbit around Millia. Kerbal Kind has ownership over the black holes along with Kærl (the 1 lightyear black hole) as we currently are the only nation that knows how to use quasar cannons in an interconnected network. But not only do we own black holes, but we also own 20 rings and a few million planets. The black holes are used as a defense weapon, offensive weapon, research station for possible dangerous experiments, and as a source of constant power.
