Khalid Bin Mustafa Bin Khalid Al-Preli (Arabic: خالد ابن مصطفى ابن خالد البريلي), more commonly known as Khalid II is the current Caliph of Preli, being in office since 28 October 2020. After serving as Chief of Armed Forces and an influential member in the Council of Wisdom, Khalid II was appointed as Caliph with immediate effect after winning the majority Shura vote.
Khalid was born in the small village of Borno in the Craniri district of Preli. Khalid began his schooling in Borno in the village Madrasa, and continued his education in Lorfingo where he attended the University of Lorfingo to study Arabic and Medieval Neskini History. He began his political career when he ran successfully for the Representative office in 2002, the first person ever to become a representative for the Craniri district. After an almost 10 year tenure, Khalid decided to join the Prelian Armed Forces. He attended the Military Institute of Preli on 2 March 2014. He would later become the Chief of Armed Forces in June 2017 after a failed coup by the predecessor Marcus Loringini. Khalid has two wives; Tapia (of Nuckler descent), and Ashrifa (Arab descent) and has 10 children between them.
