The Republic of Khalykia (Рєпȣблйка Халыкѧ; Republica Khalykia) is an island country located in the Sea of Sutov, to the southeast of Maganskia, the only immediate neighbour in the region. The capital city is Mierșoara, located in the countries colder northern highlands, whereas Khalykia's largest city, Țănvodă, is situated beyond the Bușoara Mountains in the countries warmer southern region.
Khalykia is home to the Khalyk ethnic group (which it derives its name from) and is relatively homogeneous when compared to most other modern nations, however ethnoregional subgroups vary as Khalykia has had centuries of exposure to Norse, Hellenic, Slavic, Italic, and Turkic cultures which has had a profound role in shaping the history and culture of the country and its people.
